Help regarding password reset

Hello,

My partner has just received an email with a free £5 coupon to spend via PayPal, i'm assuming because he rarely uses it.

He tried logging in but forgot his password, so he went to reset it via email and typed in his confirmation code. Then PayPal asked for a second verification via text or call but he's not used, or had that mobile number in quite a while now so he's basically locked out of his account.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how he can resolve this to claim his coupon?

He still regularly uses his email but i guess that's not a good enough confirmation to reset his password anymore.

Thanks

Thats the importance of keeping your contact information up to date on paypal. All i can suggest is that you contact customer services and see if they can help him regain access another way.

Click on the words "Help / Contact" at the bottom of paypals pages and use the phone option in the blue band at the top OR very bottom of page dependent on what country you are in. Scroll down past the list of help questions and click on 'Call us' bottom of that page. Log in and get the code.

When you get through don't select any options just hang on till you get transfered to an agent OR just say the word 'Agent'".

In the UK its free from any landline phone.

OR have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?

You can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages.

It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPalUK and @AskPayPal for Twitter.
