Payment has been on hold after i shipped package?

About a week and a half ago, i shipped a gameboy that i sold on ebay. After about 5 or 6 days, i contacted the person that i sent the gameboy too via ebay mail and they said to me that they got it and would leave feedback. When i shipped the package, i didnt use a printable shiping label, i just went to the post office and wrote down the adress of my buyer. Now even after contacting my buyer, my funds are still being held and i dont know why or what i can do in order to get my money for the gameboy. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I've never been able to reach PayPal by phone or email.  Would you mind sharing those to bits of data with the rest of us?  What is the telephone number and email address you used?

If you click on CONTACT US, there will be a place to get their phone number. When you do that while you are signed into your account, you will also get a six digit number good for one hour. This number is for security purposes to verity that you are the account holder.

Going through the exact same thing as everyone else.   My item sold for 650 and was delivered yesterday.  Payment is still on hold.  I called paypal and they stated to me over the phone that it takes 3 business days from the time the item was received for them to release the hold (assuming you used tracking).

Heres the deal, if you want to enact a policy such as this I want to be told up front about this policy when i list my "high risk item" with ebay.  I also want to be reminded of this policy the minute the auction closes via email so that I can decide if I want to trust a buyer with 2 feedbacks or if i want to offer it as a second chance offer to an ebayer with more feedback.

In addition i want to know the full details of the rules.  Paypal is being extremely vague about this new policy.  No where on the paypal website does it state that the funds will be released 3 business days after the item is received.

So let me get this straight, I sell my item on eBay, ship it, receive funds immediately in my PayPal account, but don't have access to the funds. How is that fair or even good business? PayPal certainly took no time recovering their fee from my sales proceeds!

Why should my finances depend on UPS and the promptness of a positive feedback rating? If people are getting ripped off through eBay or other means, they need to be more diligent. It seems like the easy solution in finance today is to make all customers pay for the misdeeds of others.

This is absolute nonsense! And needless to say, I'll never use PayPal for anything ever again.

The buyer paid on the 11th. The item was mailed out on the 12th. Postive feedback was left on the 15th.

Pay Pal reversed payment on the 17th.

My payments  still on hold.

I called Pay Pal & got no where.

So, wheres the Sellers protection?

In my 9 years using Pay Pal, they lost all my trust.

I thought the idea for using Pay Pal was so this  didnt happen.

Pay Pal was great till they merged with ebay.

Now...just more crooks.

- brandon i think you are on to something  I  mean the only way I would ever use Ebay and paypal again is to only accept people that have 50 feedback points and a perfect 100% score. I will **bleep** up buyers big time by not letting them bid if they don't have 50 feedbacks, and so it will also be a protection If the buyer is not satisfied I will Leave Negative feedback and let KARMA do its work on him when he decides to sell something. But anyways I hope this helps some of you good seller, cause definetely some of you will get **bleep**ed a lot now with picky buyers.  Speak up and SPREAD THE WORD ON YOUR LISTINGS RIGHT NOW I AM DOING IT so should you! speak up!

Is this hold policy only in relation to Ebay or all sellers who use paypal?  I just opened a store on Etsy and don't want to disappoint my first customer.

"The 21 day hold on your money "affects sales over 100 dollars and on ebay if you have bad feedback.  Paypal says that they will put your money faster if you have proof that the delivery was made. In ebays case if someone leaves positive feedback which is very vague because on ebay every buyer will be somewhat unsatisfied. I think that you should contact paypal, give them a call see what they tell you maybe your case will be different but I doubt it.  -be safe  and thanks for posting.

Stratman ~ the $100 thing is not true.  I also got this B.S. e-mail from PP and have 100% Feedback rating w/ a scrore of 855....and I've been on EB and PP for 9 years w/ zero disputes against me. NONE of my sales are ever more than $5 or so yet now I have to wait 21 days.  IN-FREAKING-SANE!!!
