About a week and a half ago, i shipped a gameboy that i sold on ebay. After about 5 or 6 days, i contacted the person that i sent the gameboy too via ebay mail and they said to me that they got it and would leave feedback. When i shipped the package, i didnt use a printable shiping label, i just went to the post office and wrote down the adress of my buyer. Now even after contacting my buyer, my funds are still being held and i dont know why or what i can do in order to get my money for the gameboy. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I had to call them to get it released. It's kind of a hassle that you have to call them, but they released it right away over the phone. I still will not use them again.

Not only are they holding the payment but I had a available Balance of $30. in the Pay Pal account, sold something for $70. paid $10.20 for Postage and they took the $10.20 out of the $30. so my available balance is now 19.80.
If I had a available balance of zero wouldn't the $10.20 postage come out of the $70. sale?
So now I have less money than when I started. and have to wait till the feedback thing happens or 3 days after shippinn conf.
Damm I rember back a few years ago I would sell something then the day I got paid I would go to the ATM and get my Money that day with the Pay Pal Debit card.
Just wondering if you don't use paypal, how can you get paid other than the check method?

You can use Propay. You sign up for a merchant account that allows you to accept credit cards online or by phone. It only costs about $50 a year. Like all merchant acounts once payment is received it takes 2-3 days for the funds to become available. Sure beats 21 days or not knowing when you will get your money. They send you a debit card as well so you can withdraw the funds or use the funds from the card directly like a credit card. I have been using them for about 2 years and haven't had any type of problems with them. Hope this will help a lot of you.

Maybe that is what everyone needs to do, since paypal has more dam excuses about not paying the seller the money they owe you. I am getting to believe that the money is there but not wanting to distribute it out as should.
I am very disappointed in paypal telling me that I may be **bleep**ed on the deal.

It **bleep** that sellers are having to suffer and wait when the buyer has the items. I sold a car radio for $600 on Ebay and they placed the funds on hold. The guy had the radio for 2 weeks, emailed paypal and told them it was damaged. When I say damaged he said that the top where you install the radio had scratches on it and looked older than what was stated. It took Paypal almost 2 months to release my funds. You can cause a lot of damage to an item in two weeks and it **bleep** that paypal does not even make them return the items before they refund them there money.
I am a buyer also therefore I have run into problems with a seller. I purchased a several handbags from someone Ebay, got the bags and they was not right. I contacted the seller on the same day they was delivered. Advised them about the order, they said just send them back. Sent them back and they was returned by the post office a week later.
Paypal refunded me my money but if I was not an honest person that attempted to do the right thing the seller would have been **bleep**ed thanks to paypal because I got my funds and the merchandise.

you should chose only to buy from ebay seller who have greater positive feedback. relationship on ebay are earned. ebay just puts a star only after you've been rated by fellow ebayer. i bought a dead battery ipod. i was mad that i didnt read the item posting correctly. i was not going to leave feedback. but the item arrive within a day the seller emailed me and ensure i received item and left positive feedback. he did his part therefore i decided to leave him positive feedback too. communication among paypal and ebay is essential. paypal and ebay reccomends us communicating because it leaves them out the mix to collect their part of the money!

Yes, in case you didn't notice paypal & ebay try to make buyer look like fools. They get their cut on the spot and **bleep** us. PayPal releases the funds, after the receiver/buyer, have left you feedback or after 21 days. In the 21 days of paypal holding the shipper/seller, the receiver/buyer can damage your product or say that shipper/seller, send different or undescribed item. While the seller dipute the case, paypal has the buyer return the item they messed up to the seller and the money gets return to the buyer but forget the seller. I suggest that sellers, as I know do, go to a UPS Store that has a public notary inspect item prior to sealing ang shipping item. Charge that fee to thebuyer because PayPal and eBay are about as useful as wind instrument in war, in the middle of conflict!
