I cant use my security key any longer...

"We're sorry. There's been an intermittent communication problem. Please try again later." Is what I have been getting all day.

I managed to log in without it by providing other info, I then deactivated it (hoping to be able to re-activate it again to see if that solved the problem) BUT again all I get is: "We're sorry. There's been an intermittent communication problem. Please try again later."

So now the key is deactivated and I can't reactivate it. Anyone else use the security key/token having this issue?

I have two accounts and two keys.

Both have the same error as other posters.  CS dis-abled both of them.  Now I feel NAKED

Hi Everyone-

Without going into a lot of techincal jargon, there were some VeriSign updates rolled out that we had to get aligned with the Security Keys/Cards.

As of now, is anyone still having issues with a Security device?

I'm clueless.  Paypal deactivated my keys.  Is it ok to re-active them?

Can I make a suggestion.... it would be nice if PayPal would post or email users when changes are being made that will affect the Security Key operation. This would prevent alot of baldness caused by everyone prematurely pulling out their hair trying to figure out whether there is a problem with their accounts-- or just another PayPal glitch.  

This same thing occured in the past I recall-- with no warning.

Agreed.  There is a PayPal anouncement board to post such problems.  Why is it not used?

I have not been able to get the mobile phone security key to work. And spent 45 wasted minutes talking to someone in India with no known resolve can you explain it? Thanks
