Payment reversed

Hello forum I recently sold an item on eBay, the payment was held by PayPal and listed as under investigation. Proof of postage and proof of delivery was provided and yet still the payment was reversed! So now I am in a position where the buyer has the item and the money after PayPal saw fit to return it to him. While I have no reason to suspect the payment will not be completed as I have had regular contact. His account has been restricted. I see this as terrible service from PayPal. As they have in effect taken a large sum of money away from me, all be it potentially temporarily. But the completed payment relies on the honesty of the buyer. Not on the supposed professional service of PayPal. Any help or advice is appreciated Johnny

On EVERY paypal payment receipt you get when you sell something is this  >>>

Reversals:

Please be aware that your payment can still be reversed, (e.g. if it is subject to a chargeback), even after you have sent the item to your buyer. Complying with PayPal's Seller Protection and following the trading guidelines on our Security page helps to protect you from things like chargebacks.

If you did not meet all the criteria of seller protection then you would not be reimbursed by paypal. Just providing tracking info is not everything, your best bet is to go and read up on seller protection and see if there was anywhere that you missed out.

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Hello kernowlass I'm not sure if you read my post properly or it was unclear. I am fully aware of seller protection. And I provided full tracking details, proof of postage and proof of delivery. There has been no complaints from the buyer. He is happy that the product is as advertised. He has tried to complete the payment again but his account is restricted. Other that the mentioned evidence I provided to the PayPal investigation I am hard pressed to see what else I could do.
