Payment for service - Not eBay related

Hi,

I am just wondering if there are easier ways to get funds released for the work that I do. I do consultations and website related work on a freelance basis. Usually for consultation it is paid about 2 days before service is rendered - then I have to wait to get paid. For website work, depending on who I'm working with; I even do the work before I get paid. Well for new clients I don't do that of course.

I understand that they need to hold money for buyer protection but I would really like to have my money sooner.

I would appreciate any advice.

Thanks.

Hi Junigo,

Thank you for contacting the PayPal Community Forum and welcome as a new member!

The payment holds are in place for sellers until we have established a good selling history with them. If you check the Resolution Centre of your account it will show a graph identifying how many payments you have received and potentially how long these holds will be in place for. Once the graph is completed please contact us by phone, email, Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/PayPalUK/ or Twitter - @AskPayPal and we can request the payment holds are reviewed for you.
