re moneygram

Hi. Am having an issue with an item I sold. They have paid, eventually, but also paid me extra to cover courier costs, without my permission! I now have to take cash to pay this moneygram item before paypal will complete this transaction. I'm not happy about this & think it may be a scam! Help please. Can I fully refund this person & end this transaction?

THIS IS A TYPICAL PAYPAL SCAM.

They encourage you to use paypal.

You will get/got a "fake" email that looks as though it is from paypal.....it isn't.

It will say the buyer has paid ...you won't have been paid.

If the item requires shipping they will tell you that they will pay you extra and you must pay the agent via western union / moneygram BEFORE the funds are released to you.

They are not interested in the item, they just want the western union etc funds and you will never see money in your paypal balance.

Paypal NEVER tell you to send an item before the payment is showing in your paypal account.

Paypal NEVER expect you to use a rival money transfer service eg moneygram or western union.

There will be nothing to refund as they WILL NOT have paid you anything.

Delete any emails and ignore the scammers.

Hi.

Just as I thought... good job I had it sussed before any money changed hands.

I had my suspicions when I was asked to pay cash for the couriers!

Look out folks, these are scammers.
