Payment reversed and now I've lost the item too

Hi,
I've spent the last 2 weeks waiting for a conclusion to a dispute (which was raised by PayPal, I believe) regarding a transaction.
I sold an item on eBay, sent the item via the post (i.e. not tracked, it was a small item and sent it in an envelope with a first class stamp). PayPal waited almost a month to query the address of the buyer, spent 2 weeks 'investigating' this and have since reversed the payment. I now have no payment AND the item is lost too.
So my question is: how the hell can PayPal justify **bleep** me over like this? There are scant details about why the payment was reversed and while the amount isn't huge, it's the principle of the matter.
I've queried what the issue was twice since it was opened and I've received nothing back from PayPal customer services. Considering how much money I've spent and received via this service in the past 10-15 years, and never had or caused any issues myself, it'd be great to actually have a response from somebody at PayPal and explain to me why I'm now down a payment and an item.
Thanks

I quite agree with you.
In my experience, Paypal are stacked against sellers, yet it is sellers that they take their fees from.
SHAME ON YOU PAYPAL, Its about time PAYPAL CONSIDERED ITS SELLERS.

It's incredibly disappointing when you've been a seller/user for many years without a hitch to then have this happen.
