PAYPAL HOLDING PAYMENTS

I too have just discovered that PayPal are holding back payments on my account

I keep my account in good order, always post items as a soon as I recieve payment, have 100% feedback good DSRs, what more does this 'outfit' want? its obvious isn't it, the want even more interest, we are even paying interest on our ostage charges as these are incuded with the selling price of an item.

None of the rules for holding payments apply to me so why all this nonsense.

Some buyers do not always leave feedback which is not the fault of the seller yet the seller gets penalised.

I shall be closing my Paypal account and going elsewhere which also means closing my Ebay account. At the end of the day I am also a customer and expect better treatment than this.

Have read through the messages and note that the seller can contact Paypal once they have recieved feedback so as t get funds released. Why should a seller have to do all this.

Absolute Rubbish, David, like many sellers on this  forum, I do not fit the criteria set out.  So how about that?  It is infuriating to think a payment processing company can be so intrusive.  Everything paypal is requesting of sellers is what ebay is for.  The feedbacks, the dispatch notifications and dispute resolutions.  So my question to you is, since when did it become your business to deal with postage confirmation and customer feedback.  It is a nightmare.  I think paypal has lost sight of the people who made them who they are.  I was on the phone for about an hour trying to get my funds released and next time, I will rather stick pins in my eyes.  Stuff it, I am contacting the BBC WATCHDOG.  It is utter madness and has to be stopped.

this is silly i now am out of pocket as i have to pay all postage on items before i get the money and if they dont bother with feedback then i am out of pocket for 21 days.

why should i have to pay out money for postage i am posting out lots of items and it is going to cost me about £50 to post everything how is this fair to make me pay out of my own money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You do not have to pay that much postage, use PayPal postage, you only have to fund the first payment for postage, as you print the postage off the amount you printed off is refunded, then you can print the next one, then that is refunded, and so on and so forth.

As an aside, the hold is implemented by eBay, eBay advise PP when to hold payments. Your feedback on eBay, your selling history, all eBay related.

Hi David,

None of the conditions for with holding the money seems to apply to me, however, I made some buying and the money received from previous sales does not appear to have been used, instead the money was taken from my debit card, although the account shows 0 balance. I am totally puzzled, could you please advice.

Now, I am getting bored with all the emails of complaints and it does not make any difference. Let´s face it, we are wasting our time.

Either eBay or PayPall will not change the rules and they will continue retaining the money for as long as it is convenient to them,  all that crap about the benefit of the seller or the buyer is rubbish, therefore, to those who would not accept it, they must as well leave those companies or boicot them and for those lambs to the slaughter like me just wait for it. We are living the times of the corporate domination and control therefore there is nothing we can do unless we revolt and that is very unlikely to happen.

i recently decided to go into business on ebay with a new shop , i have done extensive research into what i should sell, the best way,and how to keep my shop maintained and functioning correctly unlike some of the shops on ebay. my aim is to keep my 100% feedback so i didnt recieve any problems with either paypal or ebay ........TO MY SHOCK....... i have been put on a 21day hold 3 days after i started my business on ebay. Having limited funds to start with  i decided to go for a drop ship programme to get me started so i didnt have to hold or buy the stock in bulk to start with incase i didnt do well selling on ebay....this all started off very well i was ordering items when the items were bought but now due to the 21 day payment hold my new business has come to a hault and i am having to refund customers due to thas fact paypal are holding there payment back. this is intern annoying my customers and worrying me they are goin to leave me bad feedback as i wasnt able to provide the item due to paypal holding there payment this seems to be a vicious circle im waiting to start happening cause then paypal will then keep me on the payment holds and my business will just end.HOW CAN THIS be right it is absolutley ridiculous i can not believe it. i was set up rareing to go was doing really well and then BANG  the payments in my paypal account wich arise to over £1000 AT THE MOMENENT IS UNTOUCHABLE...........this has to be the most biggest con going on at the moment in the online shopping industry and all you get told is tha same old **bleep** on the end of the phone....fair enough you have to keep us protcted byut aim it at the oes that dont follow the rules not the ones that do .....im gutted cause i was really looking forward to this.
