Okay so basically I sold a £50 voucher to a guy on craiglist and he paid through PayPal. And paid through the family and friends so I didn't have to pay fees. I didn't have a problem with fee's anyways. I sent the item off 2nd class recorded delivery and it has proof of his signature that he recieved the item. He now is trying to do a chargeback He also has put it under 'Payment not authorized' Yet I have messages via email of him wanting to buy the item, And showing his interest. He also sent me his address through the PayPal notes. Anyways do you think I will win? If I don't anything I can do?
Thank you 🙂

It wasn't through the dispute centre. He got a charge back must have been from his bank account. Yeah I'll email paypal the details, Not sure if I'll win it or not. Though I have proof he recieved the item.

Oh ,If u have received a chargeback that is outside of ppal and to do with his bank card issuer
So I dont think ppal will be involved now, no harm in asking tho
Some info from ppal:
A chargeback happens when a buyer asks their card issuer to reverse a completed payment.
Chargebacks are filed outside of PayPal, by the card holder, with their card issuer. The outcome is decided by the credit card company and not by PayPal. Chargebacks are one of the unfortunate risks of accepting card payments.
Common reasons for chargebacks include:
- The card holder is claiming unauthorised use of their card
- The card holder is claiming they did not receive the item or the item received was different from the original description.
If you suffer a chargeback on a payment you received, we’ll email asking you to respond with information. We’ll use the details you provide to check if you’re eligible for Seller Protection and we’ll dispute the chargeback with the credit card issuer on your behalf.
Visit our online Chargebacks Guide (including a short educational video) for more information about chargebacks and how to avoid them.
