Hey all, so I bought an Xbox 360 at $275 like in july. The guy sent the xbox and was given a tracking number from the post.
However the xbox never arrived and when enquirering with the post, it turns out that the shipping was not in their system and that the tracking number is not valid.
so I tried contacting ebay and paypal but thanks to the time they took to reply me back and explain what I need to do I couldnt file a complain anymore on paypal as the days limit was already gone.
Since then Im in contact with the seller and we are trying to figure this out. Taking his word, the xbox was really shipped but with this invalid tracking number, the item must have been stolen somewhere along the line.If the seller scammed me I reckon he would just cut off all communication channels with me...but he is not.
Anyway now I dont know what to do, im in mauritius and the seller in in melbourne. I know that it is still his responsibility regarding the item shipment. But because of the distance I can't do anything. He is suposelly now filing a complain at the post office but I can't follow what is happening there.
Please if someone have an idea to help me out.... it was really a lot of money and especially now im sooo broke.

Sorry to hear this but why did you wait so long? I understanding being nice, optimistic and giving one the benefit of the doubt but you also need to be safe. Lesson learned but sorry it was an expensive one but take some consolation, many of us had to learn these lessons for much more!
My only real suggestion I have is if your funding for your Paypal payment was made from your bank or credit card. Contact them as they often have a different and longer time period dispute/claim policy. It's worth a shot.
In terms of the seller not being a scammer and still communicating with you and putting in an inquiry with the mail service. That's nice, but that's why they're called scammers, most of them are pretty good at what they do. If they were obvious, they wouldn't be very good at scamming would they?

Thanks for your answer; and yes indeed I was too trusting on that one.
In fact this was a hard lesson; nevertheless I really hope something get sorted out here...
I'll try see with the bank if there are any other possibilities, crossing fingers.
