Error message when attempting to cancel a dispute

I'm attempting to cancel a dispute over a misunderstanding. I've went to support for this issue, I've even called paypal. Whenever I try to cancel the dispute I keep getting this error message that says, "That action is not valid. Please try again." Can someone please help me out with this issue.
