Why was my claim denied?

I recently purchased retail goods from a vendor. I had these items shipped to my home address. My home address matches my billing address. The vendor sent me a UPS receipt that also confirmed that my order was being shipped to my home address.

On the day the order was supposed to have arrived, UPS sent me a confirmation that my order had been delivered. I opened my front door to find an empty porch. When I double checked the confirmation enail, I found that UPS had delivered my order to the wrong address. I don't know how it why the shipping address had changed.

I contacted the vendor. The vendor sent me a copy of the original UPS shipping address, which was my home address. I filed a dispute with PayPal and uploaded a copy of my original order which had my home address and the delivery confirmation that had a complete different address.

The vendor did not reply.

I escalated my dispute to a claim. I lost the claim. Why did I lose the claim? I did not get my order. I have confirmation that UPS delivered my order to a completely different address. I am now out $178 and have nothing to show for this.

What did I do wrong? Why did PayPal decide against me?

Is there anything else I can do it is my $178 gone?
