On May 27th, I decided to buy my first Fitbit watch. Never being on the site before, I grabbed my MacBook, typed in Fitbit in the search bar and FitbitGlobal.com first came up. Never did I question if it was the legit site or not because for one, why would a scam website first pop up and secondly, the site looked very legit. Perhaps that is very naive of me but the professionalism of the site put me at ease. When I found the watch I wanted, I tried paying for it with my husbands debit card, which for some reason declined in which the "company" happily emailed me about, so thats when I chose to make the purchase using my PayPal account. A couple days went by and I noticed that I never received an order confirmation or even a reply email to one I had sent regarding my order. It struck me as odd so I went and did a google search where I found Fitbit.com. I started messaging a customer support rep where I was informed that Fitbit Global is not an authorized seller and is 100% a scam. The second I read that, I immediately went to my PayPal account and opened a dispute. Prior to this, I only used my PayPal account to send money once and made 1 or 2 purchases with it. With that being said, I had NO clue what I was doing nor did I know that you are given ONE chance to file a dispute/claim with a purchase. Not knowing what to do, I opened the dispute as "never received" as it was the only logical option and wrote out a lengthy message within the claim saying how the website is fraudulent, I never received an order confirmation, the website is completely taken down now, and so on. It took almost TWO WEEKS to hear back from anyone and at that point I was beyond busy and didnt see the message. On June 6th I received my first reply from a rep, which consisted of his name, "how can I help you today", and telling me to monitor my emails for notifications from PayPal, that the seller has 15 days to reply and left it off saying I was free to reply whenever. On June 7th, we celebrated my sons 5th birthday so needless to say I was not glued to my emails all day (which I never received one any anyway). On June 8th, I received my only email regarding this case and it said they awarded the case in the sellers favor because they provided a "valid" tracking number and completely closed the case without giving me a fair chance to reply to it all. I looked up this "valid" tracking number and it is a complete SHAM! To remind you, I ordered the watch May 27th at 1am. The tracking information shows it delivered May 28th at 11:35am via UPS, and just to clarify, no, I did not receive the item. The invoice shows the payment receiver is NON-US : Unverified. The payment receivers email address is <removed>. This DOES NOT make sense! I have exhausted every attempt getting ahold of someone at PayPal to reopen this case but because of the state of the world, I cannot get ahold of anyone. I attempted to escalate it to a claim but was not allowed to do so. On June 10th, I took to twitter and was told the dispute is being escalated to a specialist. It has now been a week since then and I have not received any emails regarding this matter. I physically do not know what to do anymore without getting my bank involved and getting a whole new debit card, which I just went through back in February after my card info was hacked. Someone PLEASE help me. ANY advice or guidance would be SO appreciated!

Same thing happened to me. I ordered a desk and payed with Paypal thinking i was covered.
The seller instantly sent me a tracking number that showed the item having been shipped 3 weeks before I made the purchase and Paypal ruled in the sellers favor because the item was shipped.
I've been trying to fight through the Paypal chat support, but no one has been able to help... I have no idea what to do at this point.
I feel like if I can ever get someone on the phone or someone in chat that would put in an ounce of effort this thing would be turned around in my favor.
All phone support is closed due to Covid and chat is worthless.
