Appealing a Case

I am wondering how can I appeal a case. 

 

I was the seller in a case and the buyer started it. I got an email saying that I had already won the case, and the case was closed. Soon after I got another email saying the buyer won and was refunded due to no response on my part. I did not respond because I knew the case was already closed and I won. Why would I respond to a closed case? I talked to PayPal over the phone and they said they cannot appeal because I didn't respond to a case that was already closed? He even said the seller sent an insufficient tracking number and the buyer still won. 

 

What can I do now to appeal the case and get my money back?
