So, I've been selling off all the stuff I've collected over the years... Started last year in earnest. Tried to purchase postage tonight and unable to access my money. LIMITATIONS
WTF?
And I see it wants receipts for the stuff I've sold (as if I have receipts for all the things I've collected over the years--especially the hundreds and hundreds of Pokemon cards I collected and stored away 20 years ago).
And to top off the indignity, it wants me to prove I fulfilled the orders for which I was denied funds to purchase postage for !!!
WTF?
And a photo ID---apparently I didn't need one uploaded for 15 years but now I do???
What is going on?

Yeah, I answered the questions as best I could--couldn't in some cases. After 7-10 days, they lifted it. No explanation. Said over and over it was to protect me---LMAO.
All I can say is this: I talked to eBay--PayPal's days are numbered... haha. Look for a change in the early new year. (wink)

Hi @Slynky333,
I just got my account limited for selling pokemon cards the past 3-4 weeks. How descriptive were you in your response to the required information PayPal requested? Just wondering because I might have been a little quick to respond with strong language in each of the transaction they required an explanation for...LOL..I have a feeling they might just permanently limit my account for cussing them out and explaining that I was selling pokemon cards from my personal card collection as a hobbyist.
They literally required me to explain 10 different transactions, even though they see the invoice...gotdamn!! The invoice clearly shows the transaction information, including the shipping status, tracking numbers, the exact card the customer bought from me, the name & address of delivery, my address as a sender, etc. AND they are still needing an explanation?
What ticks me off even more is that PayPal AUTHORIZED all the shipping labels I purchased from ebay using their service to buy the labels. That should already be legitimate/sufficient information to validate that I'm not money laundering...geeze...SMDH..All the hard earned money that I spent to buy pokemon cards and now that I want to sell them I can't even do that...Wtf...Thanks for listening.

I agree... logically the only reasoning could be PayPal wanting to hold your money and therefore make money off it -OR- a stupid program algorithm that gets invoked that PayPal doesn't care about fixing.
No matter. eBay kicked them to the curb and now eBay is going without them. Does it save you money? Likely not AND now you have to give your bank account information to eBay... like half the websites out here haven't been hacked already.
Sigh... can't wait till I'm done selling my stuff so I can GTFOOD.
