PayPal Protection

Hi, I'm looking to buy something off a person on Facebook. He says I can use PayPal to pay him. I think he will just email his account details and I'll pay it from my PayPal account. Do I have any protection from PayPay if I do this?

Thanks, Martyn.

As long as you DO NOT use the family / friends option then you have buyer protection.

HOWEVER buyer protection is not a 100% guarantee so you need to read up on it first and then risk assess your transaction.

For eg if you are buying a watch and you just put to pay for a watch and he sends a childs watch / wrong one then if you file for item received but not as described you would lose as all that was on the payment was ''watch'' and that was what was sent.

So make sure you put in as much detail etc as you can before you pay about the item you are expecting to receive OR get the seller to send you an invoice with the item accurately described.
