I am having the same issue with removing a credit card. I get the message
You may not remove your back-up funding source while an instant transfer is still pending.
I have no transactions pending. What is the solution for this issue? Thanks.

I had the same problem for about 6 months. I called today and the representative checked for pending transactions then deleted the card information. The whole process took about 2 minutes.

I removed my credit card, and am trying to enter a new one, but the website won't let me. When the Add A Card page appears, it shows my first and last name as well as a drop-down box that says "select a card," but the box won't drop down and show the options when I click the arrow. Also, the boxes where the card number and expiration date are to be typed will flash on the screen, then disappear, so I'm unable to enter necessary information. Whenever I press the Refresh button or login again, the same thing keeps happening. Does anybody have any idea what's going on?

I am having similar issues as other posters on the forum. I'm trying to remove my credit card and I'm getting the message "Unable to remove backup funding source when transactions are pending." If there are any, they're very old and I don't know how to remove them.

Hi All,
If you are receiving the message "you may not remove your funding source while an authorization is still pending", and there are no outstanding authorizations (that you are aware of) for the card you are trying to remove, call PayPal customer support and say "Agent" at each prompt you encounter (at some point you will be asked to supply the last four digits of your SSN). Once you get an agent on the line, explain that you have replaced an outdated credit card associated with your account with a new one, and while trying to remove the outdated card, you have encountered the message "you may not remove your funding source while an authorization is still pending". Then let them know that you do not believe that there are any outstanding authorizations for the card, and that you believe there may be a past transaction that simply was not marked as having cleared in their system. After that, tell them know the last four digits of the card you are trying to remove, and let them take care of it. Typical response time (from start of call to resolution) is about 10 mins for this situation. The customer service reps at PayPal are usually excellent, and get this call all the time, so as long as you explain the situation as I describe above, they should be able to resolve the issue for you.

i'm having this trouble and I tried calling **number removed** which now says "you have reached a non-working number". Hopefully someone will get back to me - I really want to remove the credit card as backup funding. I didn't realize that by sending instant cash, there was a fee involved. I want to send an echeck instead.

Definitely don't add anymore. They kept asking me to add so they would loosen restrictions that were never noticable, and now all the sudden I cant' even process a refund out of my own money. I would read through this before I did anything else. Ebay owns Paypal and if you look at any other site Ebay owns the Ebay logo is prominent, except here on Paypal. Why?
