I checked my bank account this morning and it says PayPal have taken £1.39 out of my account.
I don't have any eBay fees or anything to pay, why would they do this? I now don't have enough money for a Direct Debit going out tomorrow because of this!

Hey there, when we take funds from your bank it can take us several days to get them. You may see the funds taken today, but you should review the transactions for the few days before that to see why that debit was made from your bank.
Just to note, we are never aware of what funds are available in your bank balance, or even on your card. We merely request the funds and the bank/card issuer process them to us (or not in some cases).
You can easily check the status of a transaction by viewing your PayPal account History. Your History contains a record of all your PayPal transactions.
To view your History, follow these steps:
1. Log into your PayPal account at www.paypal.co.uk
2. Click ‘History’ near the top of the page.
3. Use the filter options to narrow your search, then click ‘Show’.
Once you find the transaction you are looking for, click the Payment Status link for that transaction (eg ‘Completed’) to learn what the status means.
You can also click the ‘Details’ link for more information and options related to that transaction
