As far as I'm aware, my account is verified and I've followed all the steps to lift the limits on my account, but there's still a £1,700 yearly limit. I've trawled the Help section, but to no avail.
How DO you lift the limits?

Thank you for advising about Nochex.com. With all the unresolved problems with Paypal blocking accounts, I have removed Paypal as a transaction processor for my online customers and have switched to Nochex. Lets see how they go? But surely they can't **bleep** up as much as Paypal have? THE IDIOTS.

Hi I also added a second card and yet my limit is the same? they are as unhelpful as possible! I wish they hadn't become so necessary when transacting on the web! Also why are they so desperate to get into ppls bank accounts, constantly wanting to do this and asking you to get verified when you don't want to, its quite a pain!

Trying to lift limits just a joke! Fed up of beating my head against a brick wall, have done everything PayPal required I checked my bank statement and sure enough £.01 deposited but no four digit code. Have sent three emails to PayPal NO reply have had enough and will look at other ways of sending/receiving money on ebay. I have been told google checkout are good so will try them. You just don't give any help at all. Everything automated and if your question doesn't fit one of PayPals catagories it will not let you proceed, HOW USELESS!!!

I'm unfortunately in the same position as many previous contributors and it seems to be nigh impossible to get a direct answer from Paypal. On enquiring about an "out of the blue" Sending Limit placed on my account whilst completing a transaction, I received a reply regarding lost passwords !! Subsequent enquiries are getting no answer whatsoever. Is there any way in which Paypal can
justify treating customers like this. We are the ones getting a bad reputation through non payment . We are the ones losing out on sales & purchases. A wee bit of common courtesy from Paypal would make an enormous difference to people who are worried sick at the way we're being treated.
