Where is eBay getting the Paypal email address from?

How can I change the email address that eBay displays when I log in to paypal? I deleted the email in paypal after adding a new email address but eBay keeps insisting on using that old email address which I do not want used. It's a **bleep** annoying gmail address which I will not use any more because of the problems that exist with using gmail.

Is eBay getting the email address from Paypal or is the paypal email address setup in eBay options. I cannot find it if it exists in eBay but that is not saying much due to eBay awful layout which makes it impossible to find anything.

I’m sorry to hear about the challenges you are experiencing.

Have you linked the PayPal and eBay accounts or saved login preferences in the past?

You should be able to change the linked email address by following these steps:

1. Go to www.ebay.co.uk and log in to your eBay account.
2. Click My eBay at the top of the page.
3. Under 'My eBay: Summary', click the Account tab.
4. In the box on the left side of the page, click PayPal account.
5. Click Link My PayPal Account to go to the PayPal website.
6. On the PayPal website, enter your PayPal account password and click Link My Account.
7. Click Return to eBay.

Alternatively, please consider contacting eBay specialists who will be able to assist you in resolving the issue.

Thank you Anna. Yes my eBay and Paypal accounts are linked and were linked before I changed both email addresses for eBay and Paypal to none gmail accounts.

I have checked where you suggested and it does show my correct paypal email address but does not explain why ebay was showing my previous paypal email address when I attempted to make a purchase. It seems strange that it was still showing the old email address when I attempted to purchase. I do not want to use that email address for anything as I no longer check it and keep having problems logging in to gmail which keeps costing me far too much time with their ridiculous security features which only cause problems for users.

Anyway, less of the moaning about google mail and back to the problem. It now seems to be working okay and I did not do or alter anything. The strange thing is that I did change the email addresses quite a bit of time before I started this thread so ebay should of had enough time to update. I am not sure exactly how long it was but it must of been at least a week or more before I started this thread.

It does now seem to be resolved even though I do not know how it occurred. Thank you for taking the time to help me on this.
