I cannot see my four digit code on pending AmEx card so cant confirm card. How do I do this?

I have been waiting for two weeks with the pending item not ever moving to paid so I cant see the 4 digit code./

When confirming a card that has already been added successfully to the account, the four digit code that is requested is not on the card itself, but is on the statement or online banking associated with the card. The charge that is sent to your card is accompanied by a code in the description of the charge, and that is the code needed for card confirmation.
Is the charge not appearing at all? If so, please reach out to PayPal customer support. You can reach customer support by Facebook, Twitter, or phone or email. Please make sure not to provide your financial information via a social media platform or email, for safety reasons. If it's the only Amex card on file, a representative may be able to assist without needing the card number.
Is the code not appearing in your online banking history but the charge is there? If that is the case and it has been more than a week, please reach out to your card issuer to inquire. If they aren't fully processing the information for the charge for some reason, the card will not be able to be confirmed.
