Attempting to add an email address leads to FRUSTRATION!!

In the past year I've tried numerous times to add a second email address to my business PayPal account. Currently, it is linked using my personal email address, I want to switch this over. I have been on the phone with PayPal reps who have not been helpful. My account is over a decade old and I don't want to start from scratch with a new account just to be able to link my business email address. I cannot understand why something as simple as having a secondary email address on file in my account is the pinnacle of impossibility! Whenever I try to add a second email address, I get this:

You currently have 1 email addresses added to your account. You can add 6 more. Add an email
Sorry, there's a problem. If you keep seeing this, please contact customer service.

Contacting customer service by phone is an endless run-around. I need to get this added to my account so that I can change the primary email address! Is there anyone within the walls of PayPal tech support that can get this done for me? If so, I welcome you to email me at my primary address on file.

your email address is your Paypal account ID,you can have more than one email address linked to your Paypal account,but not sure if you can remove your primary email account.

search this forum,there is a thread of someone trying to replace the primary email address.
