Problems with Multi-Order Shipping

I have used Multi-Order Shipping for the past few months for my business.  In the past, I have clicked on a recipient's name and then used the "Apply Preset" feature.  I now have a new computer, and am unable to do that.  In addition, I can not even "Add Service Type and Package" or "Add Weight".  Any help or suggestiong would be greatly appreciated!

Hi ashleyk524, and welcome to the forums!

 

It sounds like your new computer may be running a different type of browser than your old one. Are you using Chrome with the new computer? That may cause compatibility issues with Multi-Order Shipping.

 

If you're able to use Firefox or IE for your labels, you'll likely find that your presets work again. Please let me know how this works out!

Thanks!  I stil have not figured out the problem.  I was using IE.  I finally started using Firefox and was able to get the drop-down menus to work with Firefox. But still can't figure out what the problem is with IE.

Hi ashleyk524,

 

The issues in IE may be Java-related. Sometimes dealing with Java is a balancing act. For some folks, their computer setup works better with the latest version of Java, and for some other folks, reverting back to an earlier version solves the problem. On a new computer, I'm reluctant to suggest experimentation of this sort, especially since you were able to find a workable solution.

Paypal-Olivia,

I started having the same problem with multi-order shipping tool dropdown boxes not working a few weks ago; I did not really realize it started after going to I.E. 9 (Automatic Windows Upgrade). I will try the suggestion to use compatibility mode. But it appears Paypal has a problem with IE 9 and needs to be fixed.

Please report it to the developers.

My browser automatically updated to IE 9 the other day. Before that I used paypal multiorder shipping fine and now I can't use the drop down presets or enter package info either. Is there a solution to this other than just changing to firefox or another browser?

I was never able to figure out a solution (other than using Firefox).  I'm partial to IE and use it for everything else...but just use Firefox to get on the PayPal Multi Order Shipping.  It's quite a pain.  If you ever find a solution, please let me know (and I'll let you know if I figure anything out).

Hi everyone!

 

Here is what I did:

 

First open up your multio order shipping page. Then hold ALT and press T, it should bring up your tools menu. Now click compatibility mode! Should be up and running now! IE9 should remember every time you open multi-order shipping but only time will tell.

AWESOME!  Just did it and it works.  Thanks so much.

 

(P.S.  Just to clarify for others, my "Multi Order Shipping" opens up in a pop-up window...and nothing happened when I clicked ALT+T.  I closed the pop-up window, and did it from there and it worked.)
