Account Holder DOB in Settings->Business Info ... says it's invalid

It's asking for Account Holder Date of Birth under Settings->Business Information, in form MM/DD/YYYY, so I put mine in. It's saying the form I put in is invalid, so I tried M/D/YYYY, I try M/D/YY, I try DD/MM/YYYY, nothing is working. What gives? 😕

Same problem here.  Come on PayPal, this is not rocket science!  I can't update any information on this screen because it won't accept a valid date.

has this seriously not been fixed yet?

I haven't been able to update any info due to this error.

I've tried entering the current date as well, but no luck.

[Edit]

Switched browsers, deleted cookies, reloaded pages, switched computers, tried the "1970" default date, tried current date, tried random dates, tried switching days and months... nothing seems to work. Any date entered as DOB is recoginized as invalid and info fails to update.

And... the same problem today. Cannot believe this hasn't been fixed as a priority. There must be hundreds of people who have been unable to update their account details!

Work Around Until This Is Fixed:

This was mentioned above but maybe not as clearly as needed (for me anyway):

Instead of hitting the Upgrade button, I hit the Edit button. Entering the DOB there, got it accepted.

Except... even though it showed it on the confirm screen, it still wasn't prefilled when I went to the Upgrade option.

So I went to Edit again, and filled it in again...

And this time when I hit Upgrade it was prefilled! 🙂

Hope that helps others until the manage to do a release where they've actually tested a fix for this...

What are you talking about?

there is no upgrade OR edit button on the same page...

There is a single "Update" button for changing or updating business info, whch takes you to a page where you can click "Edit" or "Cancel"

On which page are you seeing the Edit and Upgrade together?

---

And still, it's fairly sad that this is an issue they haven't fixed yet.

I am talking about a work around which most certainly worked.

I'm not making this stuff up and if my creating an account on here especially to comment on this and then stopping back to mention how I worked around the problem it isn't helpful to you, I'm sorry but that's frankly not my problem.

I was upgrading to a business account. So maybe you don't see the same flow with whatever state your account is currently in.

I could "edit" independantly of the "Upgrade" option.

If you can't sort it out from the Edit button - it's broken in some way that I didn't trip across and you'll have to wait for them to fix it.

I assume you raised a support ticket for it (as I did) since I don't expect them to be scanning the forums.

Good luck with it.

Aaaaaaah. I got it. You were switching from a normal account.

The issue still exists for everyone who had a business account to start with. There isn't any upgrade option if you already have a business account - ie: no workaround.

and yeah, I raised a support ticked 2 days ago, and sent an email. Still haven't gotten a reply.

Yes Pay Pal is full of bugs sadly 😞

I guess you tend to get what you pay for (well, it's far cheaper than my standard bank anyhow!).

Apologies if I sounded grumpy above - it's apparently been one looong day.

Hope they fix this incrediblely obvious bug soon!
