I asked for shipping without tracking, it never arrived, who is responsible?

Hi, recently I specifically asked the seller for the slowest shipping method possible, since I wanted to save money and had no use for the product short term, I only need it in like half a year. So this method was 4-12 weeks and it didn't have tracking information, delivery updates, no proof of delivery. It has been 5 months and it hasn't arrived (max shipping time was 4 months).

Now I am pretty darn sure that the buyer should be responsible, as I don't even know if he sent the product, there is no way he can prove to me that he did.

Can I get some other opinions (and facts) here? Thanks alot

You have 180 days or 6 months from date of payment to file.

It is always the seller's responsibility to select the shipping method which is compatible with the risk the seller is willing to take.

The buyer does NOT determing shipping method.  Buyer only makes a decision to buy or not buy based on cost and delivery determined by seller.

In filing for non-delivery, the robots look for a tracking number showing delivery--no delivery confirmation means immediate loss by seller.

It's already been more than 5 months, why are you waiting and why are you allowing a seller to keep your money?

Well file dispute for item not received, if seller has no tracking code you will win. Even if the item would have arrived you could file the dispute and win if no tracking exist, depending on your conscience you might not even feel bad about it and happily keep the free item. Of course you could try contacting seller before filing a dispute.

If you seller didn't ship for arrival by now, why do you think the seller should be trusted?

If the seller choose to ship without tracking and take the risk of loose, why do you not want to hold the seller accountable for poor service?

It really comes down to your choice:  Do you want a refund or not?  Is so, act now.

I'm just making sure, because I'm the one who wanted the shipping without tracking, it doesn't make a difference?  Like I won't lose the dispute if the seller shows paypal that I didnt want tracking?

Also, how much time do I have to file a dispute after paying about not receiving item?

thanks guys

where is it coming from and what is the item?

dont forget Xmas season, and that Korean shipping line going under, some of its steamers docked in CA were seized ,and US customs have huge backlog,so if he is shipping by sea,it could be delayed.

if seller said he has shipped and his feedback is good,I will wait.

I have been waiting for a light but bulky package from China for 45 days,in the past it isless than 30 days ,so he is charging minimal shipping,I have done business with him before,so I will wait another 15 days, making it 2 months.

he is in China
