Hello community and PayPal,

two months ago I've sold wedding dress on my website. Customer was a man, what is no usual, but I said ok. He was confusing about his wedding day and dress size. At first he wanted the dress in 2 days, after explaining that it is not possible, he told his wedding is in 14 days. I again explained that making time is about 5 weeks and he said okay.

Payment was via credit card, not PayPal account.

After 4 weeks he called me and asked if i can deliver dress in 3 days. I agreed, I paid extra TNT delivery for him, because by another service I couldn't guarantee him to deliver it in time.

A Day after he got the package, he opened case - chargeback. I tried to call him, found out what happend, I wrote him emails and I wanted to offer him returning item, but he ignored.

I provided those documents to PayPal:

- his order

- emails with him about his wedding day

- tnt tracking number

- tnt signature from delivery

And guess what... I lost this case.

How it could even happend? All evidence was against him, but he won.

Thank you for your comments

Filip

Thank you so much for giving me your time. I really appreciate it.

At the transaction page it is not eligible. But other payments are eligible, despite it is same goods.

This is what I am trying to solve with PayPal now.

You'll need to phone PayPal customer service and talk to a specialist.

I already did it. It wasn't appropriate department so I had to write them email. So we will see.

eMail isn't likely to be sucessful.  Better to be persistent with phone calls; it will likely take serveral.

I think she lost the case because it is unauthorise payment, the cc holder is saying he did not make the puchase.

Not because it is customs made?

customs made item may lose if buyer said item not as described, but this is a case of unauthorised transaction.

Thank you for helping me. I means lot for me.

I just called PayPal and asked why it is not eligible. They asked me what kind of goods I sell and then they tell me that is because item is customized, but in a fact, it isn't.

I explored all my transaction, and almost all of them are eligible, except those, which are paid by credit card without registered account.

Could it help me somehow?

Filip

You mean your buyer does not have an account with Paypal?

he just paid you as a guest?

THIS SOUnds like a scam from the start,a man asking to buy a custom made wedding dress and keep changing date of delivery.

It could be he has an order for a wedding dress and he scam you out of one and he sold it to make money.

Did you really ship to MALTA,scammers would say they are in Malta,it could be a dropoff place .I used to have order from someone in Malta and he sent me 4 counterfeit USPS postal orders.

I never ship the goods, and I turned the postal orders to USPS fraud investigation dept.

Thank you for help.

Yes. it must be scam. If is something wrong with the dress he would told me what, because we have some guarantees (100% match with picture, fitting size). And he doesn't reply to emails and phone number is still at voice mail.

I wouldn't expect fraud so I didn't pay an attention to his weird behaviour. I just had think he is confused.

Yes, really to Malta (Attard CITY).
