I have received two different readers, it still doesn't work. I keep getting error messages saying. "invalid request parameter, taxName needs 10 characters or less. The reader takes the card, I hit the charge button and that is when I get this error. Has anyone else had this problem? I called support and they told me it was because of my internet service. I highly doubt that.....

Is PayPal going to address this problem that seems to be affecting lots of users?  I am about to switch to another reader if the problem is not addressed.  I tried two different card readers and the phone does not recognize them.  iphone 4s, took the case off to ensure a good connection, no luck.  PayPal you are losing money because of a cheap piece of plastic!  Please solve this problem ASAP!!

Im a hairstylist who wants to use Paypal Here but i have a few questions about the service/product: Who pays for the 2.7% swipe fee? My clients or me? Also is there an area to add "tips" to a purchase and if so is the tipping a percentage or can it be a dollar amount? i know on square up its entered as a percentage and not a specific dollar amount....

I received the New Card Reader (PayPal Here) and did the download thing with the app, but I didn't check the PayPal site for phones that work with the reader (Mine isn't  on the list!)...I have a LGMS 770 Motion 4G phone and the reader doesn;t work with it...I rebooted the phone and saw the thing about having a mini-sd card in the phone (I don't) but I guess the big ???? question is...will the developers add this model phone to the ones that will work with the card reader...or is there something I missed in the install process that I can find and repair my-self....I was planning on using this for business and local sales in the community...Reall y Hope someone can give me a answer....Ron Dancingron.....p.s. is there a way to load my own avatar to this community forum....like the one I have for my eBay store?

Call them and request the new reader with the white bands around the pins. I too have the Motion with the new reader and all is working fine now. Make sure you have internet connection (wifi or data) and GPS in enabled.  Hope this helps you !!!

I'm having the same problem as everyone else with my card reader not working. I called Customer Service and they are sending me another card reader, I just don't think that's the problem. The lady told me to be sure I have the volume all the way up and Bluetooth off. Having the volume up makes sense, but why do I need to turn Bluetooth off when I just have to turn it right back on to use the printer?

I know it's not my phone or it's settings because my Square setup still works. I think it may be an app issue.

What I'm wondering is: Is everyone having this problem, or just certain phone models or versions of Android? I have a LG Opitmus F3 4G LTE with Android 4.1.

I'm having the same problem. This definitely started after the app upgrade. I have to manually enter credit card numbers because swiping the card doesn't do anything any longer. This worked just fine before the app upgrade. It takes a few minutes longer to punch the numbers in while the customer is waiting. Not efficient at all. I'm not getting the customer's name for record, plus it's charging slightly more fees!! I don't beleive it's the device, but the app. Please fix! asap!!

If i have a phone that is not on the compatible list (LG Optimus G).... what are the chances it will become compatible?  Is it based on PayPal updating their software?  How often does that happen?  Just wondering if it is worth hoping for?
