Hi. I also accidentally enrolled in PayPal's credit offer and I don't want or need it. I worry because I may accidentally use it and end up paying charges that are unnecessary (or worse, I may do so and not know I owe money, and end up being officially in-debt and late-paying.
I wish to keep my account but cancel the line of credit that I accidentally enrolled in. Please note, the only reason I enrolled is because of the way you pushed this "offer" to me, which was mid-transaction. It was unclear, unwanted and a pretty lousy way of trying to drumb up extra business.
Please remove my 'line of credit' from my account or let me know what I need to do for this to take effect. Please provide an option that does not involve me closing my PayPal account, since it clearly can work without the line of credit as I have used it for many years without problems.
Thanks!

Hi there,
In the last 6 months I have received details of at least 3 purchases that I have made for mobile phones none of which are true.
Why are these purchases appearing on my account, when I haven't been active on PayPal for over 12 months?
I would be very grateful if you would delete my details from your system ASAP?
Kind Regards
Derek Dawes

if and when you want to cancel your account, if you owe paypal credit, how does that work, do you have to pay it at the time of closing your account or can it be set up into a payment plan? Just curios? Thanks!

That is BS. PayPal has it set that its so easy to accidentally click on getting credit, but you cannot just click to cancel. Plus, once you click "credit" it sets it as the default payment option. Another BS moment. You should be emabarrassed to work for such a company and think this it alright. You have no heart or soul if you think this is OK.

I also ACCIDENTALLY signed up for Paypal Credit. This is a serious annoyance as it always, I repeat ALWAYS, defaults to Paypal Credit as the method of payment even though I have one of my credit cards set as default.
Why can't I close it or remove it from my account? I have to agree with the previous person this is BS.
Paypal, please stop this disgusting, tricky behaviour at once!

Oh my gosh! What a racket and a disservice. I HATE PayPal credit. I can't get rid of it either. I have a credit card on file, but cannot use it to pay my PayPal balance. Now, they want my checking information. Why can't I pay with my American Express card.
I, too, am so disappointed in PayPal and feel like I am being scammed. Please tell me how to pay with my credit card and then I will cancel. Probably never use Pay Pal again I am so angry.

PayPal Credit is just following their established practices; no surprise that you can't pay off one credit account with another credit card. You can pay your PayPal credit account with funds from your PayPal balance or from a checking account. If you fail to pay, there will be fees. It seems a simple choice to just pay it off.
You could also call PayPal to discuss it with them, but you'll still need to pay.
