refund from seller with an open case?

hi do i need to close the claim that i have in order for the seller to refund me my money? im having a hard time with the company and today they said i should close the claim is this true?

This is only a ploy to cancel the dispute. If you close the dispute, the seller is under no obligation to do anything as you accept the no refund.
The dispute will close automatically when the seller refunds; that's what you want.

if it is not under Paypal review,the seller can just refund and the case will close.
But if it is awaiting review,seller cannot refund.
