Is it safe to provide the paypal email

I was asking refund from a seller. He replied I need to provide my paypal email to confirm, is it safe send out my paypal email?

He shouldn't need it, tell him to find your transaction in his paypal account > click on it and the refund option is at the bottom of that 'details' page.
