How do I get Google Play store to accept my pay pal account as a payment option? Everytime I try it says "Something went wrong. There was an issue adding your PayPal account because the payment method selected on PayPal was invalid. Please update the payment method with PayPal or select a different form of payment." I have money on my account but it doesn't seem to want to accept it. Please help!

I'm having the same issue, however it worked a day or two ago.

I have 2 bank accounts and a debit card. The main issue is that I can't choose which source to use...

I think it's trying to use a bank account, which PayPal doesn't want due to instant not being available temporarily, and my card not being used for some reason.

Any input?

What caused it with me was that I have two devices registered with Google Play Shop, One of them is a tablet and that's the device I wanted to install the app on, the other is not a real physical device but an Android emulater app that I use to run apps on my PC to try 'm out, it registers as a smartphone though

The Android emulator wasn't running, and I think this was the real reason I couldn't buy the app since the device itself didn't confirm receiving the installation request so the transaction was aborted just to be safe, I think

Whether or not another device (real or virtual) is on/running really does matter because I know I bought my first app with that Android emulator, in fact, it was why Ilinked my PP account with Google Play Store in the 1st place

When you want to buy an app look for a field where you are asked to select a device

Even IF you think you registered only one device you might want to look for it, it's at the bottom of your buy/pay popup window Even look for it if you have just one device registered, you never know

Maybe you forgot to remove that old device a few months ago and is it still registered for instance

I'm sure I won't be the first nor the last to make a mistake like this

The choice field is not really standing out and can be overseen easily

Anyway it worked for me, as soon as I had chosen my tablet instead of the automatically selected smartphone emulator I had my app in seconds

Same issue here, also live in Belgium. Can't use my paypal (which has funds) with my new android tablet. Guess I'll go buy a google play card but it would be nice to have this feature work!
