Unable to receive gift

I was sent a monetary gift from a trusted source (family member) but I can only view the message that was sent along with the gift when I follow the link sent to me from PayPal. I do not see any options to actually accept the gift. I checked with the sender and the report they get from PayPal is that the gift was sent but has not yet been accepted. Am I missing something? Is there something specific I need to do first?

About 20hrs or so (maybe because it was on the weekend) after following the link the gift was eventually transfered to my PayPal balance. So, the issue is resolved.  Anyone who experiences a similar issue it may just be a matter of timing for you as well.

Check the details in your PayPal account; don't trust the email.

Are you absolutely sure the email was from PayPal and not a spoofed email?
