How do I search someones history with their payapl address before sending them funds ?

Ask the person for a phone number and then give them a call.

Do your own research about the business.

You need your own best judgement and not rely on PayPal to cover for your own lack of research.

Ummm, I am reaseaching it. Thats why I started this post 😉 Thanks for the tip though.

You can't. Although you can contact PayPal customer service to see if there is anything for you to worry about, like a history of scams.  They may look to see if the account is Verified.  And be sure to use Goods & Services option to send payment to have buyer protection.
