Error with Android App

Been using the check deposit system for about three months and been very happy with it.

Recently did a update and keep getting the error:

Unable to update license acceptance  Unknown error (-10005)

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry to rain on this "error is resolved" parade, but it's not working for me, on a fresh, first time install. I get to "Terms of Use", I click "Accept", and then get "Error: Unable to update license acceptance. Unknown error (-10005)."

 

Everything else works correctly in connecting with my PP account. As I said, this is a brand new first time install, so I don't see how uninstalling and reinstalling would do any good. Other ideas?

Welcome to the forums!

 

I can definitely understand your reluctance to reinstall. It often seems like a kind of superstitious reaction when a technician asks you to reinstall, but there actually is a little more to it than superstitious magic! Even with a fresh install, uninstalling and reinstalling reinitializes all the settings - not just the ones that are manually changed by the phone's owner, but the ones that are automatically selected at installation. If there was any sort of problem with the installation the first time, reinstalling is overwhelmingly likely to address that problem.

 

Please give it a shot and let us know if it works out for you after you've reinstalled.

Hi Olivia,

 

Thank you for the reply. I had no problem uninstalling and reinstalling...my hesitation was that I had *just* instaled the app (30 minutes before I posted), so I didn't see what good a reinstall would do.

 

For whatever reason, it worked. I don't have a check to deposit so I can't test it, but I got farther this time than before, and was able to view the "check capture tour", so I declare this a win. I really, really, *really* hope this function continues to work!
