Can't add money to Paypal account from bank

Whenever I try I keep getting the following:  "There's a problem with adding money to your account. If you'd like help, please contact us."  This has been going on for days now.  I don't know what's going on. 😞
I sent off an e-mail, 2 days ago, but have not yet received a response.  Anyone have any idea what's going on and how to fix it?

1. I already confirmed my bank account

2. I already confirmed my personal information
3. I went to the resolution center and there are no open cases.
4. I do not want other alternatives, I just want to add money using my U.S. bank account. This is supposed to be an available option so no alternatives please.
5. I know about backup funding, but I don't like using that option.

6. I've added money before and there wasn't a problem.  But now it keeps giving me the above error message.

it sucks too because it takes 3 - 5 fricken days to add the money, like i am trying to buy a hard drive for my sons birthday and they dont have it in any stores so I have to order it off ebay. Its for his ps4 which cost $150 on ebay so i tried adding 150 and it didnt work than i read this fourm about how it alows little amounts so i tried 60 and it worked... so i tried to add another 60 and now that didnt work, so what do i have to do? add 60 dollars once a week? like its just such a hassel. i tried to get my bank account to work on my sons account, but aparently your name on your paypal account must match your bank account so i had to start an account of my own, but than again i guess that makes sence. I just find it ridiculous that other bussiness take money from your account without you even knowing about it, but when your trying to actually buy something with your money they make it so hard that its almost not even worth it.

I used to pay all my bill via my bank account, so they would take the money out directly. I'm a nurse and have been for over 40 years and my checks are a good amount. So i had my work checks also directly deposited into my bank, and i never had any money, i would have all these crazy charges to my bank account. I would go to the teller and ask why theirs no money in my account when I just got payed the day before and the teller would list off all these charges and i wouldnt even know about half of them. That why i find this so ridiculous, i guess its because your not giving anyone the money because than im sure it wouldnt be this hard.

May be you should switch bank.

I know JP Morgan will give you $300-$500 for opening a checking/savings account ,with direct deposit.

and if you have direct deposit from SS or your employer,they welcome you.

But banks are hurting now,there is now daily balance requirement (not average daily balance but daily), you can withdraw say 6 time ,then there is a fee for withdrawal.

If you dont meet daily balance ,then monthly fee say 6 dollars.

You may as well stash the money in your mattress and pay your bills with money orders or at grocery store.

I had the same problemin adding $650.

So I tried lower amounts of money:

  • $350 --> success
  • $300 --> failure
  • $200 --> success
  • $100 --> failure
  • $70 --> success
  • $50 --> failure
  • $30 --> failure
  • $20 --> failure
  • $15 --> failure

Then I gave up. Still not too bad! I could add $620!

Maybe it is for the first time and it will increase our transfer capacity after a while.

And after a week, when the three above successful transactions has been completely done (and I saw the money in my Paypal's main page), I could transfer the last $30.

Seems that there is a limit each time and we can increase that limit every time we successfully added money (within a week or so).

It just takes time to build a financial reputation with PayPal.

It may also depend on your overal credit rating and financial history.  How are your credit cards paid?  Is your credit rating above 750.  There are many factors PayPal will use in evaating your financial risk.
