how to access activity statements or logs that are more than three years old.

Hi group,

The IRS is telling me I need to re-file my taxes for the last 5 years.  I can see how to download PayPal statements for the last three years but I need to access to the last 5.  I am seeing a forum post that says it can be done, but the "activities" page I'm looking at doesn't seem to have the controls and options the post is describing so I suspect it references an older version of these pages.  Can someone tell me please how to do this for the last 5 years using the current configurations of the "activities" feature?  Thanks in advance, all help greatly appreciated.

Go to "activity" top of your paypal page > on the right of the page under "simple / detailed" click on statements > activity export > then on the left of that page under history click on advanced > then in the drop down box under "find a transaction" you can search by email / name / date etc etc etc OR you can click on advanced instead of basic and go back year by year.

Thanks for your answer.  However, this is the point where either it's from an earlier version or I am losing my mind - the place where I get baffled is the "activity>simple/detailed" link...I do NOT see that "simple/detailed" link in my activity page ANYWHERE.  What am I missing?

I have the same problem - needed statements/transactions 2011-2017

This worked for me just now (March 2018):

Top Menu - Reports

Left Side Menu - Activity Download

Information box: The following changes are now available in the activity download experience: The "shopping cart details" will now show as a single row by default; “quantity”, "balance impact”, "country” and "country code" fields have been added. For a limited time you can still use the older version of the activity download tool by switching back.  

Click "switching back" (to old version)

Select Custom Date Range (I recommend only doing a year at a time)

Dropdown menu: choose file type (csv, pdf, etc)

Click box centre page down-ish right: Download History
