I'm just trying to find out how to accept payments from my website when someone wants to buy something. I don't really want to use a paypal button if I can help it. I just want to provide a link that says something like "Buy Now with Paypal"....not a button, just text. Then I want it to go to the paypal page for the to accept the charge. It's something I've done many times when I tried to buy something. It was very easy.
But to find out how to do that without coming to these forums is impossible.
I got to a page that has two options....one is "Paypal Payments Standard" and the other is "Paypal Payments Pro". The only thing is, they don't tell you how to set up "Paypal Payments Standard". Isn't that unbelievable???? They tell you there's a product but they don't teill you how to use it? Below is the page I'm referring to.
Maybe I'm missing something here, but I would never tell anybody on my website that they can do something but not tell them how to do it.
Amazing!

Are you really fluent in both languages in question?
Why do you think you are qualified as a translators.
Why would someone pay you for transation skills?
Would a reasonable company hier you for translations?
Would you reallying thnk you could be hiered by an eastern European company and get paid in U. S. dollars without be caught in money laundering?
On the the other hand, people tend to follow their emotions when there is a dream of making money for no work.
As for an answer to your question, I guess one could say it's just an opportunity as long as you do nothing. If you accept, well, then you accepted a scam.

I say it is shady. A lot can go wrong if you are accepting payments through your account for goods/services for someone else if they are in charge of delivering goods/services and not you. I see you asked this question or similar before but you don't seem convinced so you're free to go ahead and try it hook line and sinker. The problem for me is why this site do not have their own PayPal account to receive payments and gotta use yours.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
