Error Message - Some of your information isn't correct - login issue

Hi all! I'm hoping someone can help me out. I have already spoken to customer service, and I'm not sure what else to do! I've been trying for several days to log into my account via desktop and smart phone. I needed to print a shipping label for one of my customers, but I cannot log in using my email or password (running Google Chrome on my desktop and Safari on my smart phone). I tried to login as usual, but then it brought up an error message that some of my information was not correct. My password is indeed correct, as is my email address. So, I contacted customer service and we reset my password and security questions. I tried to login again (while still on the phone with customer service) and again, the message that my information wasn't correct appeared. She suggested that I try different browsers and I also downloaded Firefox for my PC, and that didn't work either. I went back to Chrome and cleared all browsing data and cookies, but still no luck. Please help! Just a side note, I am able to log in to the PayPal app via my smart phone using only the PIN that I have set up, but couldn't log in using a regular email and password. So strange! If anyone has any advice, that would be much appreciated!

Hi! I wanted to wait until I spoke to CS rep again. I pressed on and explained further the issue. He said never had this issue come across before. So, I attempted to login everywhere I could while on the phone, and the same error message appeared. I asked if something was going on with PayPal, and he said he didn't see any issues, but that he was not seeing any attempts (via his computer) that I was trying to log in. We reset my password AGAIN, and I was able to log in for a minute. Logged back out and same issue. He said he was going to call back and pass the information along. I'm so frustrated!! If you have any thoughts, I would be grateful...message me if you'd like! I'm lost!

Glad you were able to at least reach a person who seemed knowledgeable.

It's odd that you can log in once and then there is no indication at PayPal that you are attempting to log in.  That makes me think there is an issue before the information gets to PayPap--like with your router or ISP blocking some transmission.

 

What all did  you try to do while you were logged in?  Did you check out your profie settings and make a change, if only just to force an update to your account?  That's the other place I would check if you can get logged in again with a call.  Snoop around your account and change something and also just to check out addresses and emails.

Hi! Thanks for the reply! I agree, that's what it seems like in regards to the information not being sent, etc. When I was able to log in for a few minutes, I snooped around my address and added a phone number to my account, just to see if I could do anything at all. That did work and I was allowed to make changes. I noticed at the address bar, once I try to log in again, I see this address error: "https://www.paypal.com/signin?resType=code&failedBecause=securityTokenError" I have a setting on my account that allows PayPal to send a code to my mobile phone for extra security. When I was logged in for a minute, I checked that as well, just to make sure the settings were the same. My sister uses one for her account too, and hasn't had any issues like I have been having. I reset and restarted all the devices and Modem/router again and cleared the cookies/data. Thanks again for all of your help! I really appreciate it and I hope to figure this out soon.

Hi Guys,

   Im having the exact same issues with my account.  Its been going on for about 2.5 weeks with over 10 calls into paypal. 

 

They also say they are seeing no attempts at logging in.  But they always tell me that i'm on some kind of list and that it will be fixed in 24 to 48 hours and i never hear anything back,

 

It's starting to get a little frustrating, not being able to send or receive paymnets.  No shopping on ebay. (killing me. haha).

 

Someone hopefully can get this figured out??

Hi! Just wanted to reply to you, as my issue is similar. However, I am able to login via my phone using my PIN only. I am able to shop, transfer money, etc. After many calls to CS addressing the error message, I was transferred to their website department this morning. The tech told me that it is a bug in their system and that my account was included in the queue to be fixed. He said he wasn't sure when it would be fixed, but they are working on it and the fix is being spidered out. He was the only person to actually tell me that, since I started this process 2+ weeks ago. So, I guess we just wait? So frustrating, but know that you're not alone!
