Exactly the definition of bait and switch by these "Lowlife"! The items sent probably can be bought on eBay for the same price as return postage, so it is not worth wasting the money sending them back. PayPal will say that they find the claim in your favour but require you to return the item to a fake address. That way you will have done both your postage and the initial purchase cost! When you say that the address is fake, they will say that the seller has provided a refund, so the case is closed! You will have to put it down to experience. I will never buy from China direct again using PayPal, but eBay sellers seem to have a good track record. It is about time PayPal withdrew support for Highlife Technology Ltd and struck them off their sellers list! Along with the 140 internet names associated with their IP address! @PaulGhz wrote: I ordered 2 1080p door bell cameras and I got 2 720p cameras instead. I wanted 1080p not 720p, I paid extra for that! otherwise I would have never ordered to begin with! I have contacted seller number of times but seller has not responded. I  now know this company is scamming everyone. They purposely sent me the wrong items so I'll be stuck with them and not be able to send the camera's back to China as shipping costs are high. They got me for $125. Lets see what PayPal does for me.   ... View more

Hi Did you have any success yourself? I got nothing out of them except lies such as "the seller has refunded" so the case is closed. Paypal is a defacto Chinese agent now with the Baidu agreement, so I won't be holding my breath waiting for action against Chinese crooks. @Mmcglynn wrote: Call PayPal! (search online for phone numbers) keep calling until one of the reps offer to refund without sending items back. Explain that the return policy for the company states no need for return shipping on items under $70. I did and got my $$ back. Ask PayPal to investigate highlife Technologies due to multiple complaints listed here in this community. Explain that you use PayPal to protect from this sort of fraud and if they won't help, then you won't be using their services anymore.   ... View more

Class action against a Chinese fake company! Which court do you think you could use? PayPal would claim "acting in good faith" as an intermediary, they are not the merchant. ... View more

Yep, PayPal will let any LOWLIFE sell things, and get away with charging high amounts for low quality, bait & switched products. I now will not deal with any Chinese company using PayPal on a web page. eBay seems OK though. If the same or similar deal cannot be found on eBay, then it will be a fake deal. ... View more

Just accept that you will not see your refund ever, so do not pay to send it back. PayPal will tell you to send it back  to a non-existent address. Then when they are falsely told a refund was given,  PayPal will claim the case is closed because a refund was given. The only hope you have is if you have linked a card to PayPal for payments. Then you can go directly to the bank and claim a payment reversal, or maybe sell it on eBay to someone who has a high wattage stepdown transformer. PayPal is now in partnership with a Chinese company that allows the Chinese to use PayPal to buy things. They will not ever rock that Chinese boat, so do not expect things to change. ... View more

PayPal entered into a partnership with Chinese search leader Baidu, Inc. (NASDAQ:BIDU). This strategic alliance allowed 100 million Baidu Wallet users to link their accounts to PayPal, letting them pay for goods purchased outside China, giving them access to the 17 million merchants that accept PayPal.Mar 26, 2018 So PayPal is a defacto tool of China now. ...   @Jimmy5wood wrote: PayPal just plays into their hands, I asked for a partial refund, as the item is usable, but not the item advertised. They willingly offer a refund knowing it would cost the purchaser nearly as much or more than the item is worth, to send it back. My gripe is about the fake address PayPal required me to return the $5 bait and switch item to, before allowing a refund. They required me to return it to a fake Chinese address, with a Road AND a Street in the one address, that were physically kilometres apart. The seller was never going to receive it, so I was never going to get postage refunded or a reversal of the charges. PayPal knows of this, because many others have complained about it, yet does nothing except allow the bait and switch to continue. They even found in favour of the Chinese seller because "they refunded", which was a blatant lie! Thanks so much for your stupid, useless response. Last year, PayPal entered into a partnership with Chinese search leader Baidu, Inc. (NASDAQ:BIDU). Further to this, now PayPal has found in favour of the seller because the seller provided a refund. This is just a lie, because no refund was provided at all. DO NOT USE PAYPAL, use a credit card that you can get the payment reversed when fraud occurs. PAYPAL IS SUPPORTING FRAUD. HIGHLIFE and TLIKE.STORE are bait and switch Chinese scam sites, supported by PayPal. They supply fake return addresses and PayPal does nothing about that. Do not use PayPal!   ... View more
