ShipStation is a SCAM! Worse than Click N Ship

I got charged $10 today. I didn't purchase anything. Upon contacting them they said it was an "overdue postage" adjustment of $2.06(more of this Paypal scam, again... their "evidence" was an Excel spreadsheet with some numbers, not an actual USPS document) but their policy is to charge $10 on ALL "overdue" amounts regardless & then place the extra into our "account". Well I have instructed them to refund that as I will NOT be using this service any further. They have been pulling this with their users for years, now they charge it right away without notification(I received NO notice of an overdue cost, merely a $10 charge without so much as an explanation). I'd advise others to seek alternatives as this is an unacceptable business practice. "Incorrect package type" SCAM via Paypal ship now ...

Used a Priority Mail box for this with a Priority Mail label. They claim I owe them almost $4 because "The package type on your Jun 29, 2021 shipping label didn't match, resulting in underpaid postage of $3.79 USD" I'm tired of this obvious ripoff scam from this company. Think a class action lawsuit is warranted if we can get enough people hit by this blatant fraud? This is a complete nonsense reason they give us, and as with "underweight" labels, they offer zero tangible proof of any of it.   I 'd use an alternative but Stamp.com wants $18/month fee to use them, Pirateship has higher rates and does the "you owe us" scam too and other such sites look beyond fishy. I know you cut & pasted that off a script but do you expect anyone to actually believe it? Paypal cheats & harms its users all the time with random closures, which they refuse to provide valid reasons for, though it's usually done to hold onto someone's money immorally without just cause to gain interest on it. This is why I never keep funds in my account & am honestly scared to even take larger payments because you might just opt to "ban" me for "community safety" or some other excuse to keep hold of money that rightfully belongs to me.   There's also that "underpaid postage" scam your company runs, which you offer no proof for either, to make us pay more for packages we mail with your service. Another one tonight for something mailed Jan 27th Priority Mail, 4 pounds. Owe $3.89. Their reason- "Packaging type mismatch". Nothing even mentions weight. That tells me nothing. They can either provide some valid proof other than that, waive the fee or I can use Pirate Ship to mail things from now on. I'm not paying this one without something more substantial to back it up. Frankly, with all the alternative payment methods popping up, I really don't even need Paypal anymore. They're now just an option on eBay rather than required, none of my bills are paid by them anymore, Mercari only offers them as one option, etc. I think this sinking ship is trying to swindle the shippers for extra cash, knowing they offer us no chance to fight their claims. ... A couple years ago I got hit with these EVERY postage label I bought through Paypal's "ship now" link, but only through Paypal. None whatsoever when shipped direct through eBay. Go figure they stopped when I openly complained, have had years of buying labels direct without issues until now. These have started again, 2 notices tonight for packages sent 2 months ago- the only "evidence" being what Paypal's email states, nothing else, on packages I know were the correct weights. No ability to challenge or dispute Paypal's emails, merely locking me out of buying postage labels until I pay their demands. I believe I will simply stop using their service as this is either Paypal or USPS scamming me for extra money. I'll be taking packages to the USPS counter instead. Too many payment holds

2 payments to a regular US-based seller(have done business with them for almost a decade now) had 24 hour holds in the past month. Last night a purchase made from a known reliable website in Asia for $13 now has a 72 hour hold so my items can't even ship out. I get the feeling my account is being unjustly flagged for some reason which Paypal will not specify. Messages to them are either ignored or generate a stock "sorry but the hold must be enforced" reply. This has massively impacted my ability to buy anything online. I've had to switch my Netflix and Hulu payments to direct debit card to prevent the likelihood those could be held(which could close my subscriptions) and I may have to do the same with Patreon next month. If this becomes problematic then my account will be useless. This hasn't happened in nearly a decade but has now had 3 in a month. I find it completely unacceptable. They won't even contact me to ask for further details, their system makes a determination without my input, and they could reject a legit payment if they feel like. Paypal, your CS right now is terrible and I am not going to deal with this much more. I am now at my 3rd payment hold after sending money and I am sick of this. 2 payments to someone I've bought from for almost a decade had 24 hour holds for no reason in the past month. A $13 payment to a retailer in China is now on a random 72-hour hold. I'm beginning to feel my account is randomly flagged as "suspicious" for no reason whatsoever and if this continues I will have to find an alternate payment processor to send money or buy online. These holds are UNACCEPTABLE! Contacting customer service does no good because they either fail to reply or send a form letter. If I can't reliably send money in a timely manner I can not make online purchases which means I have no use for this account. Their customer service regarding this has been woefully unacceptable. Paypal postage labels a troublesome ripoff

It seems over the past few months, every single label purchased directly through Paypal hits me after 2-3 weeks with a notice stating I owe extra on postage, and it's ALWAYS without fail stated to be a discrepancy of 1/4 pound. Just now I'm asked to pay $1.18 on a package they claim is 8 ounces that I know was less than 4. This has only happened with labels bought through Paypal directly, not one single eBay label gave me such a notice over several years of mailing, none of these package recipients have told me they had any issues receiving their packages, and I feel I'm being deliberately cheated by some party in this setup. I don't think I'll be using Paypal to purchase USPS labels directly anymore, it's turning out to be a costly scam. recipient says 24 hour "security" hold, nothing in...

I sent someone money out of my funds this morning. They replied indicating the message "we need to do a quick security check to make sure XXXX logged in to send you money" and it's on 24 hour hold. There is NOTHING whatsoever in my account to show a problem- they payment itself looks to have gone through fine, there are no messages or emails asking me to verify the payment. I have sent money to this individual many times over a period of several years so I don't understand why Paypal is suddenly suspicious of a payment sent to them. They indicate their account is not limited as they have received money from others today. My message to customer service concerning this was not answered. I have to wait and see if they actually release the funds to this person tomorrow, and now have to hope somehow this does not happen again with the same recipient. Does anyone know what's going on? Claim still at "under review" 9 days later, shpuld...

At the end of June I bought 2 items from a seller in China, $11 and $69.99, as separate purchases.  A week later they start getting negative feedback scores for fraudulent behavior of sending small envelopes to fake names that get sent back as "undeliverable". My own package(one tracking # for both purchases) slowly tracks to the US and on July 18 my local PO confirms over the phone that it is a small envelope with a name & street that do not exist. They sent it back. On that day I opened 2 claims, escalated. The seller had 10 days to reply, they did not and on July 28 both claims switch to "under review". On August 1 the $11 amount claim is refunded to me. The $69.99 claim is still sitting at "under review".   Tracking shows the item was undelivered. The seller's feedback rating on eBay has had over 160 negatives in the past month. When I contact Paypal to get this claim refunded I either get an automated reply, no answer at all or a runaround. Live chat was useless, I was in it on the 4th and the rep told me information that did not match the case records, such as "the seller responded and we are looking into the information they provided" telling me they were not looking up the case at all, as the seller did not reply and it had been long past their deadline to reply.   Should I expect Paypal to not refund my money and simply file a chargeback with my credit card issuer to get it back?
