Hahahaha @kernowlass. I'm just venting and worded it so there couldn't be much opposition to telling the truth about PayPal and businesses around the U.S. Cutting back hours (and getting rid of entire shifts) makes it nearly impossible to get anything done. I sleep during the day and was too tired to sit on the phone waiting for a rep to answer. Might've bitten their head off too, because I was sleepy. I'm up all night and this is my money, not theirs.

Not during employee hours. If you're going to cut back on how much you people work, and executives are figuring out how to be as greedy as possible, at least fix your software to solve basic problems. Get rid of bots, because they're dumb as rocks and can't understand compound sentences. AI is not ready for this, I swear. I don't even know where the slight over-payment of a refund to me is located. Because your instructions don't match the issue, I'm not bending my hours to suit employee schedules. Stop inconveniencing consumers as much as possible. It's getting super tiring & annoying. My tech-writers were super when I was writing software. Don't know who is writing these instructions, but they don't account for much.

No, @PayPal_RachelK that doesn't help. I rather dislike linked answers that don't answer anything and wear on my eyes. I asked about a particular merchant and there should be a list of them around here somewhere. That link was just information, not a list of merchants that subscribe to this.

I'm shopping on Brooks Brothers website. I thought Pay in 4 was available regardless of the merchant. If that isn't the case, where's a list of merchants for this feature?

I thought Pay in 4 was available regardless of merchant. It used to show up for anything I buy except on Amazon, since it won't use PayPal.

So, do you have an answer or just like saying "Ok"? 😆 Not sure how to get verified without a mobile number, nor how to get rid of them inside PayPal. There's no delete function for the phone number. I added my 800-number and can't get rid of the old cellphone #. I just knew when they were testing out that feature, the day would come when they'd force it on everybody. Here we are struggling with inflexibility (or alternatives) in the software, @kernowlass

Why did you respond at all? This wasn't an FYI. There was a question in there that I changed with bold formatting. Putting some humor in here, I don't have a big brother; I am the big brother 😆 (hahahaha). Also, the reason businesses have trouble texting that number is it's VOIP, not SMS. I just found that out yesterday from an app provider I'm trying to use with the 800-number. I've had that number for the last 3-4 years, but decided to use it exclusively. I've been a long-time customer of PayPal and former software consultant/developer. I see what's going on with businesses trying to dominate my mobile phones, so I got rid of them. I'm locked out of the phone PayPal has. I have an 800-number that I can call from anywhere, and have it forward calls to my landline. How do I get rid of my old mobile number around here? PayPal won't send texts properly to my 800-number; not all businesses can for some reason. No, I'm not changing that company for the sake of snoopy businesses. Most 800-number providers have the worst customer service ever and this business provider is within my budget. I don't care what anybody says, my privacy and peace of mind depends on me not feeling like a character in the book 1984. If they want to track me, do so physically or don't bother me. Emails worked fine, and if you ask me, these moves have nothing to do with security, and everything to do with advertising and tracking people. I'm too old to be parented by strangers working for monopoly corporations, and big brother don't live here. Thanks.

I haven't written code since the early 2000's. So how is PayPal peeping into my browser and picking up that I put some items in a shopping cart? I'm not using PayPal to pay for them and haven't checked-out yet? They sent me a $5 coupon or discount for the items in there, and I have no idea how. Is this place following me around the internet because I have an account? I think the entire world needs to relabel all these Privacy Policies as Public Policies, because that is what they're all doing. Opening us up to advertising galore, putting pop-ups on our computers, bombarding me with text messages, and being nosy enough to know what I'm doing when I'm thinking about purchasing things. I just found it in poor taste and intrusive to be looking at what I may or may not buy. Ummmmm... I think I'm in the right place, because most of you are talking about writing things between PayPal, merchants and consumers.
