Hi there, this is relating to a transaction on the app/website Grailed. Really need some advice what to do. The buyer has opened a case lying that I have sent a different item to the one sent, and has opened a case as 'item not as described'. This is the second time this has happened to me through selling an item on Grailed, and I think maybe the last time I use the site. Unfortunately, I understand it is common practice for ‘chargeback’ scams to occur, where a buyer wrongly claims a different item has been received. I have contacted both Grailed and Paypal directly, multiple times, as I feel it is not fair. The events were as followed: The buyer first messaged me on an account with zero transaction history and zero feedback The buyers account was then banned by Grailed The buyer then messaged me on another account, again with zero transaction history and zero feedback The buyer purchased the item, with a registered paypal name different to that on the transaction details The buyer left abusive feedback on Grailed I have all necessary proof of communication, dispatch and tracking. I am also waiting for Grailed to reply with further proof of the buyer operating under different accounts. I have a long standing history of selling items via PayPal, normally through using eBay, and have never dispatched a fake/other item to one of my buyers. Unfortunately on Grailed, there is no screening for sellers, meaning that scam buyers can operate under multiple accounts without the need to have a purchase history to buy items. The case is still open, what should I do? Should I contact paypal again or escalate the case? Thanks for your time
