What is an e-cheque? Have never heard of this with PayPal & no idea what it means. I’ve now had 2 e-mails the same, telling me this. I had a payment from a company as a refund, but have had these before & no mention of an e-cheque.

Apologies, if this is not quite the right thread, but the paypal thing is bugging me. I have had a few things recently on paypal credit, they call them “promotional items”, I know the dates, when they have to be paid for to avoid interest etc. But no matter what way I look at it, the outstanding balance they have is very different to mine. Can anyone please explain this to me, in very basic terms? An example is I now have left a £99 & a £139 promotional items & yet their balance has me owing £450 ish ??

Why have I been sent a paper statement in the post? There is no problem on my account (normal paypal) using 14 days later & paypal credit etc. Everything is done online, so why a sudden paper one out of the blue.

Paypal seem to have gone out of their way to make it difficult to find the direct debit section, why? I’ve looked & looked & cant locate it. I set it up to take payments (min) for my credit account with them, changed it for a 4 month interest free purchase, but cant change it back. I dod contact them & they eventually gave me a vague response of “Oh, sorry but your next d/d payment will be for whole balance, as not enough time for change to have gone through”. This is due in next day or two, so dont know where I am. I’ve gone in to try & change it anyway, but still cant find it. This is ridiculous, something as important as a d/d shoukd be easy to find, as it is with credit accounts I have.

I have recently set up a direct debit to take the last statement balance on my credit account, it’s due to so now. But since then I’ve had a part refund on an order back to that PayPal credit, butbit hasn't been deducted from the balance. Why not?

How do I turn off e-mail reminders from pay pal? This is happening when I use Pay after Delivery, I make a note of this in my diary, so don’t need reminders. Still get e-mails telling me I’ve used the service (don’t need these either) & when they’re going to take the payment. Is there no way to stop so many e-mails? Seems you can only edit marketing e-mails.

When I purchased something on an auction on eBay, why didn’t I get the option of deferred (14 days) or PayPal Credit ? Also why do PayPal insist on sending you e-mails to tell you there’s money in your account? If I’ve sold something on eBay & had to use PayPal, then I know there’s money there??

I made a payment yesterday to my PayPal credit account, for the first time yesterday & from money I had in my PayPal account. It states that it will show up within a day, but it hasn’t? Why not, Surely from a PayPal account, to the credit side, should be instant?

I have been told that if a credit goes back on your account, you can leave it there & it will be used for next payment/purchase going out? I was notified a few days ago of a credit, yet a payment went out yesterday & the credit wasn't used, why not? Does it not apply to paying for the purchase 14 days later? If this is the case, why isn't it made clearer & it's still a purchase??

I used the pad service with PayPal quite some time ago & it worked well for me. I don't know if they stopped offering it or I decided not to use it (bad memory) but I notice it has come up again, when I changed my bank account. But the very annoying thing for me is that I'm not getting the option to use it? I looked up the details of it & it's just vague as in " may not be offered on all purchases". What does that mean & what's the point?? As usual trying to contact PayPal was painful, you get the awful automated answers, that don't answer what you want. Then I finally get a reply from an agent & "shock/horror", they just told me what I'd read, but in a slightly different way!!! Many if these huge American (usually) companies are just awful to deal with that & that's why people detest them. Anyone else have any clues on this or is it just another annoying algorithm!
