Hi marb,    It sounds like your preferences for receiving funds may have changed or need to be updated. You can have your preferences set to automatically convert your payment when they are received.    Here’s how to set your payment receiving preferences:   Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your account. Conversion rates differ everywhere, one bank may be different to another, post office different again, online sites differ a lot as well.   Also it depends on the amount to be converted as it is always cheaper the more you convert. ... View more

Well i am not mistaken, but thats fine if you want don't want the advice I'll just leave you with this from paypals help pages.    Receiving money: The fees for receiving money depend on the situation: Receiving a domestic personal payment (e.g. a gift from family) is free if the sender uses their PayPal balance or their bank as the payment method. If they use a credit or debit card there will be a small fee. The sender can decide to pay this or pass it on to the recipient.   If you're receiving a business payment (e.g. when selling items on eBay) then you'll be charged a fee.
