Just confirming what another poster has stated... PayPal Credit is NOT the same as PayPal. You can make purchases online and pay, using PayPal, but you will indicated whether the payment is coming from your PayPal account (the balance you might have in your PayPal account to spend), or if PayPal will process the payment and obtain payment from your payment source (i.e. your checking account), or you can select PayPal CREDIT and pay over time. If you have a dispute that arises from a PayPal Credit purchase, then you will need to ask for help from Synchrony Bank. Do not get PayPal involved. Go to your PayPal account online and click on the box/link to PayPal credit. Look for links for help there to begin. I wrote about a PayPal credit dispute I had with a vendor from China (Lillicloth... DO NOT purchase from this company) regarding a purchase in June 2020. I had to to submit two packets of documentation via Priority Mail two times to PayPal Credit / Synchrony Bank and I placed multiple phone calls over a six month period before my issue got resolved. I was ready to give up, believe me. It was like an endurance test. I have never had any issues with PayPal Credit / Synchrony Bank prior to when COVID hit in 2020. It was a nightmare trying to get any where with them. Very disappointing. I was told, repeatedly, that they have been inundated with claims like mine dealing with overseas vendors. I was told in August that my case was resolved in my favor. Three weeks later, the charges were placed back onto my account. It took another three months to get the charge removed again. I was never even notified when it was resolved. I was told a letter was sent to me. I never got one and asked for it to be re-sent. That was almost 5 weeks ago and I still haven't received a letter. I have to admit that I still worry that the charge will "re-appear" again on my account; my trust in PayPal Credit was eroded that badly. But don't give up. It's worth it to keep fighting. It is your money. Just make sure you know who to deal with - how your paid for your purchase (PayPal or PayPal Credit) as that will make a difference. Good luck.
