@Koala  "Whether they'd work or not, it was better than a spinning circle or stupid hold music"  🙂  I'd have to agree... that music is hard to get out of one's head after listening to it for what seems like forever...!   Thank you for your lovely note.  My comments were not directed at you (I did not want to point out who it was that pushed my sensitivity button!) I did want to point out / stress that I was not the one who labeled my post as a solution though.  That was odd. Disconcerting that PayPal can actually manipulate our discussions.  I find it annoying they block attempts to provide phone numbers, web and email addresses as solutions as well. Doesn't do anyone any good.   Thank you for your posts and for trying to help us all out with this problem.  I was just breathing a sigh of relief that I was able to make payment on my account. I don't plan on using it this month until I can see that this problem has been resolved. Fingers crossed. I hope we all receive the CORRECT information we are seeking - soon - and that Synchrony Bank steps up to the plate. If you are referring to me (lovetosell) as the person whose post was marked as the "solution", then I agree... I did not mark my post as the "solution". I just looked at it and I saw there was one kudo - and it is from a PayPal Moderator!!!  Of course!   There was an email link I posted later - that enabled me to go straight to my PayPal credit account (the one another poster identified correctly as the former Bill Me Later credit line; there is no physical credit card for this account). I was able to pay my account with that link. So, that worked for me but it's obviously (from what other posters have written) only for PayPal Credit. I simply shared what worked for me - thinking we were ALL talking about "PayPal Credit"... until more posts erupted and posters were talking about other Synchrony accounts I've never even heard of.   I suspect the PayPal moderator marked my post as the "solution".  My post did NOT work - as I tried to state in subsequent posts.  I was simply trying to help out and share what info I was able to obtain, what did work for me as far as making a payment (but still no access to my actual account on the PayPal summary page).  Some posters reactions here are really unhelpful and unnecessary. No need to shoot the messenger.  Was just trying to help and struggling with this problem like the rest of you.    Up until last year, I didn't even realize that PayPal and PayPal Credit were not connected. I had to call PayPal with a question regarding a purchase I made last year using PayPal credit and they directed me to Synchrony Bank. I had assumed PayPal serviced PayPal Credit simply because of the link on my summary page. When I could not locate that link this week to pay my bill, I panicked and thought I must have missed some announcement saying I needed to log in someplace else to make payments. I think this has been very confusing.   I cannot be mad at PayPal. This is not their issue. But maybe the PayPal Credit account lines should not be attached to the PayPal summary pages. Synchrony Bank handles our PayPal Credit accounts and has our information. They should be communicating with their customers to let us know there is a problem and what we can do. @joea64    You are exactly right... MY posts (if people had even read them correctly) were regarding PayPal Credit (which, as you pointed out, used to be Bill Me Later). I had no idea there were other Synchrony Bank-related PayPal credit cards or that were attached to the PayPal Summary page as you've explained. Synchrony does service PayPal Credit. I always thought it was "just" PayPal until about a year ago. PayPal does not service PayPal Credit. There is no physical credit card for Paypal Credit. I used it frequently for online purchases and then just log into PayPal to pay it off each month. This month, there was no link from the PayPal Summary page - which is when I started reading the messages here and tried to find out what was wrong.   I was only offering information that I obtained - hoping it would help others. I WAS able to at least make a payment for my PayPal Credit account. I had - I have - no idea if that link works for the, apparently, multiple credit cards Synchrony manages. I did NOT mark my answer as a solution.  It worked for me with PayPal credit, but I still don't have a link to PayPal credit on my PayPal summary page - so I would not have considered that a solution. There is still a problem as far as I'm concerned.   I think this experience has taught me to just fend for myself and not participate in these discussions. Can't believe how harsh some posters got. I was just trying to offer what info I was able to locate and to report that I was finally able to at least get my payment made to Synchrony's PayPal Credit account. I have no idea what Smart Connect even is!  I don't work for Synchrony Bank or Pay Pal buddy!  Looks like you need to find somebody to lash out at because you can't find an answer to your problem. I certainly didn't!   I'm not even aware of all of the different PayPal-related credit cards managed by Synchrony Bank.  All I have is a PayPal business account for online sales I used to have with eBay and the Synchrony PayPal Credit card for online purchases (I don't even have a physical card for it). I pay my PayPal credit balance every month and found there was no link to pay it this month - like everyone else here.  It appears we all might have different types of credit cards. Sorry my problem doesn't match yours and that what worked for me did not work for you.  No need to snap at me like this in your posts.   I was just trying to offer information for what ended up working for me... as far as making a payment. I was able to at least do that, but the box link to PayPal credit that used to be on my PayPal account when I logged in is still no where to be seen.   There are some really harsh posters here.  Lighten up! I'll paste & post this again.... It worked for me today (Sunday, 07/18). I logged onto this link and was taken immediately to PayPal Credit (NOT PayPal). I was able to pay my PayPal Credit account using this link:   Try using this link:  https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/ppcredit/   I found this link on another post addressing this issue in early June when others could not access PayPal Credit. I just clicked on the link and was able to access my PayPal Credit.  I hope this works! Spread the word! ... View more

Just realized the response I received and pasted from PayPal on how to reach PayPal Credit was not useful... at least as far as accessing chat, as they instruct to click on the PayPal credit box. Well, there is no box when I log in. It is completely gone. No trace of it. Only option will be to call and it sounds like many of you are having extremely long waits by phone and not getting assistance.  Is there any word "out there" regarding what has happened?
