Thank you, I had already seen that but it appears to only apply to using PayPal on a mobile phone. On the rare occasions I use PayPal on my phone then of course I'll have my phone with me and getting a text for 2FA isn't a problem. My question was how do I turn it off when I'm using my desktop computer, which is most of the time. Then it is a real nuisance having to run around the house to find where I left my phone, especially as the PayPal logon screen appears to promise to 'remember my device'. I have a static IP address, always use the same computer and browser and always have 'remember this device' checked but it doesn't seem to do so. Under trusted devices I can see my desktop machine listed nearly 20 times with 'remembered' against most of them, including the last one. I don't need 2FA when I always use the same machine in a private environment. PayPal live chat wasn't very helpful either as the menu/settings options they told me to alter were not showing on a desktop. Maybe they were only for a mobile phone as well.
