Marlene. This name is all we have but it’s time to write something positive. We set up an office in our home with the man power of three adults all tech savvy. Our mother who has COPD and CHF, and is in poor condition has a verified PayPal account. To say the least and while swallowing our pride, we ran into a very difficult time and even in a household we had tragedy after tragedy strike until we had to sell valuables for half their value just to get the money fast. One of the highest paying we’re done through eBay. And since it was suspicious for her to receive an influx of money we first endured the 21 dat hold. Through those three weeks and having to oat for shipping out of pocket because even though the buyer pays shipping you have to pay packaging and shipping and get reimbursed later for the large crate shipped items, we used all our resources to stay afloat. By the time day 22 came we were desperate. The money came available into the PayPal immediately. We all celebrated! I, the daughter grabbed the phone and sent the first transfer for our past due bills to one account 3k/8k. The next transfer finished the balance and was intended for her medical needs. She was three days past due on her medications. Well, the second transfer didn’t work. We had no idea transferring too close together would cause a block, or transferring all of the balance is suspicious, or using a card instead of a bank was suspicious, etc. Then we became experts on PayPal security holds. Begged, plead verified verified verified and all supervisors said the same thing. It’s the “system”. No human could control the security blocks even though she is verified. All we could do is wait 24, 48, 72 hours and then if we try and the security bots find something suspicious it restarts the wait. Day 24, we arranged an ambulance to take her to Walmart in person to get 500. On day 26 messaging and calling through several accounts reaching out to employees and consumer advocacy groups, I got lucky and got MARLENE. And just like that, the right rep contradicted what the supervisor on the other phone was saying and fixed everything. You could tell she wanted to help, had the knowledge and instead of saying sorry sorry over and over and we apologize in return to our mother is dying, she fixed it. She saved our mother’s life. Marlene needs a medal and a promotion. Cletus needs a demotion, and your system needs human interaction. Security is great, common sense is necessary. Limit different then everyone else?

Why would my limits ad a verified PayPal user be so much less then what PayPal says for its users? I am verified I’ve done nothing wrong but I’m only allowed to have or use 5000 of my money per week and I am not allowed to take out any more or transfer anymore than that? Weekly Limit?

After spending this whole week, e wru single day stressing over this withdrawal of my money which is not on hold but being blocked from withdrawal, transfer to account or card, transfer to PayPal user, psy request by user both on browsers, mobiles PCs phones wifi networks hard liners networks and etc. We were only able to get 500 of our 4700 by having my family set up an ambulance transport and take me to a Walmart physically. We had to incur a debt we can’t afford to get 500 so l’y family had enough for food. But we need the rest of my money for my medicines as I have heart failure and copd and my daughter who is my primary care giver will have her license suspended due to insurance unpaid if we can’t pay that by Monday. Previously we were told that basically anything we do is suspicious. So security out of any humans control puts us in a block status. We can’t afford to wait for a paper check so I’m going without my medicine now in day 3, we were told 24 hours ago that if we wait 72 hours we can try to withdrawal and have a good chance. But now a supervisor named Cletus said THERE IS A WEEKLY LIMIT ON HOW MUCH OF OUR MONEY WE CAN USE OR WITHDRAWAL. Does PayPal really give you a weekly allowance on withdrawals or is there a limit on how much of your money you’re allowed to use? Is that why it’s blocking us because we’re not allowed to have all of our money at once? What is the weekly allowance? Or limit on withdrawals per week? And when does it reset? Please help our lives depend on it? We’re desperate and we will pay 500 for help that’s all we can afford once we have the rest of our money. ... View more

Every single thing you mentioned is in order and considered. We could get 500 out at Walmart but even with all accounts in order the same name, they won’t allow any withdraw or transfer since it’s suspicious Amd no human can help. So it’s up to the coding of the security system if PayPal’s security system thinks you’re suspicious you can be blocked forever and never access your money. ... View more

I wish I had advice. I’m a dying woman and I stare at my PayPal everyday all day praying for a way to access my money. We sold everything we had and after the 21 day hold PayPal then said we could transfer to use our money since it’s not on hold. But, since getting mew money is suspicious and transferring money is suspicious, we haven’t been able to use our money to shop, withdrawal or transfer. Security block they call it. App supervisors say they cannot override since we’ve been blocked and even though we verified our identity even in person once I had an ambulance take me to Walmart on a stretcher but the most we could get verifying in person is 500 a day and we need our 4700. Please someone help me. I have a history with PayPal that channel 8 said isn’t possible. We sold an item that was very valuable to us, in order to solve immediate problems. I have heart failure and copd I’m trying to get my affairs in order, my daughter had spent every day for the past week trying to transfer the money from our sale that took 21 days to come off hold. Now, no matter what we do they won’t let us use or transfer the funds saying there is nothing wrong but it’s a security concern; everything is a security concern but we can verify anything and everything. Going into day 24 of being unable to use our money or even access it, we are now incurring a suspended license and I’m on day 1 of being without my medications and my daughter who is also disabled is on day 2. Among other things we played by the rules and now PayPal’s inhumane disregard for our rights is resulting in true detriment holding but not “holding” our money hostage.
