PayPal Community

My paypal account has been open and active for roughly a year, give or take. I've had several thousand dollars of successful transactions, mostly through ebay (until ebay recently took away paypal as an option) and discogs.com. Suddenly today my account got locked down. I was made to upload descriptions of about 7 recent transactions - 6 sales from discogs.com and one $8 payment sent from someone unrelated to a purchase. So I uploaded USPS tracking info for the 6 sales, as well as "describing" they were compact discs sold on Discogs. And for the 7th item I simply marked that it was a person to person transaction. I also uploaded a scan of my ID. However the last thing they want from me is receipts from my "suppliers" of what I sell. What in the hell? I don't have suppliers! I'm just a single person selling stuff from my own possessions, notably CDs from my own collection. All I could think to do was upload a screen cap of a notepad file in which I clearly state I don't have a supplier because I'm selling my own stuff!!!! So paypal just seems to arbitrarily choose to hold funds for certain sales of mine on eBay that makes no sense whatsoever. Like  I just sold a CD for $85 and those funds were made available immediately, but then I sold a pair of shoes for $50 and those funds are being held. At this point I just roll with the punches - I ship right away, and the funds are released as soon as tracking shows delivery.   However in the past 48 hours I've had two payments for ebay sales held, and when I printed the USPS shipping label through ebay - which then provides the tracking number to paypal automatically - I have gotten an immediate email from paypal that reads "Unable to validate your tracking number" and telling me I will have to wait out the full 21  day hold on the funds. I accidentally set my ebay seller account fees to be paid by my savings account on paypal so I went into arrears, and my account was temporarily placed on hold. I logged in and paid the entire balance, and ebay showed my account balance at zero but it still showed as on hold! I called and got an absolute MORON on the phone who said in order to remove the hold I also had to pay the $15.28 that was not yet invoiced, so I went and manually paid THAT amount even though I got a warning that I was paying against a zero balance. Now my ebay seller account has a CREDIT of $15.28 and it STILL ON HOLD. No one at ebay when I call knows what is going on, and they just said "wait 24 hours." I can't even post on the ebay community forums to try and get help because of the account hold!!! It's absolutely insane. What do I do?!? I need to issue a refund but when I try, it says that if I don't have the funds in paypal it will pull from my "source of funds" which is shown as my bank account on file, even though I have a debit card on file which is chosen under "wallet" as my preferred payment method. How do I change the "source of funds" for refunds?!?! ... View more
